March to June of each year

Qualifications for Application:

1. Applicants must be foreign citizens with valid foreign passports;
2. Applicants are from 18 to 25 (inclusive) years old ;
3. Applicants must be in good physical and psychological condition and shall abide by the provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Entry and Exit;
4. Applicants shall abide by Chinese laws, regulations, school discipline and school regulations, respect Chinese social morality and customs;
5. Applicants are required to have high school degree or above;
6. Chinese proficiency examination certificate (grade HSK 4 210 or above) is required to apply for a Chinese teaching major.

Procedures for Application

1. Log in https://international.hznu.edu.cn/#/login;
2. Create a new account;
3. Log in the system;
4. Fill in the information and upload clear documents as instructed;
5. Save and submit the application;
6. Wait for review and check the application status in the application system. Meanwhile, please refer to the ‘Inbox’ of the system and your personal email account to get updated of the application status. The admission process normally takes 10 to 15 workdays.

Documents Required for Application:

1. Application Form for Chinese Language Program (automatically generated );
2. Valid passport page (valid for more than 6 months);
3. Health Certificate - Foreign Physical Examination Report;
4. Recent 2-inch photo (Photo format: color 2-inch bareheaded photo, white background without border, head takes up 2/3 of the photo size, photo size is not less than 320*240 pixels, aspect ratio is 4:3, size is 100-500kb, JPG format);
5. Notarized highest education certificate and academic transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translated English or Chinese version;
6. Proof of non-criminal record;
7. Certificate of funds guarantee issued by bank or certificate of guarantee issued by economic guarantor;
8. Receipt of application fee of 400 RMB.

Do ensure the accuracy of personal information. HNU won’t offer any admission if the submission doesn’t meet the requirements above.
